Considerations When Opting For Body Plugs

Body plugs are forms of jewelry that are have a large diameter and are worn in a stretched piercing. Some of the most common body plugs used nowadays are flesh tunnels. These tunnels are placed through very large stretched piercings. They are mostly placed in the ear piercings, although they may also be worn in frenums, nipples, hood piercing and tongue piercings or probably in any other large piercing. Body plugs serves the same purpose as earings or any ornamental used for beautification or for cultural purposes. There are so many designs of body plugs popularly used nowadays.

To wear a body plug, you have first to be capable of changing your jewelry on a regular basis. The jewelry should not be kept in the body or worn for quite long periods. This may lead to infections that are severe. If the body plugs are left in the body for quite long period, they extend the healing time of the piercing. Regularly cleaning and changing of body jewelry ensures that the piercing heals quickly and without infection. The healing period also depends on the part of the body where the plug has been placed and also how well you take care of it. Body plugs look good if well taken care of.

The other thing to put into consideration when thinking about body plugs is to purchase an o-shaped rings from any of the stores or shops either online or offline. These are placed on the newly cut dowels or the blank body plugs. The o shaped rings will serve as body piercing jewelry items that you will have to hand from the plugs in order to see how they are looking. You can also purchase the flesh tunnel body plugs. You can even create body plugs out of rods or plastic dowels. You should make sure that you avoid porous and organic materials when you are purchasing or are making a body plug. Avoid objects sharp edged objects and consider using clean, smooth and synthetic plugs.
